If you would like to volunteer to help with Madrina UK’s mission to ensure that no one is left out from attending their school prom because of the cost of an outfit we would love to hear from you. 

We are especially interested in any young people completing their Duke of Edinburgh and are looking for volunteer hours.

We are always looking for support for business to help us in our mission; that the prom is for all, everyone should go to the ball. If you could support us we would be more than grateful, just get in-touch. 

 

Our Birmingham Branch is currently in-search for a retail premises so that we can give our beneficiaries the true prom shop experience. 

Partner With Us

Currently many parents in the West Midlands are struggling with the financial pressure of buying a prom outfit for their child, with 46% of children in the West Midlands living in poverty the stress and anxiety to spend hundreds of pounds on an outfit can cause understandable stress and anxiety for many parents and children.

 

The Resolution Foundation’s figures state that almost half of children in Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Sandwell and Walsall were living in poverty in 2022-2023. Action for children reported 48.3% of children in Birmingham are living in poverty.

Why Madrina is Needed

We accept new and pre-loved prom dresses and suits which are suitable for a school prom, we accept any size although we are currently in need of Plus sizes and suits. 

Donations must be cleaned and must not be damaged. 

 

Please note that we have may have to resell your donation to release more storage space, all funds made from the resell go straight back into the running costs of the charity which will support our beneficiaries: we are 100% run by volunteers.
